Fashion Is Everywhere

From my last post I shared with you all some people and apps I get my fashion inspiration and tips from but you don’t have to look online or download apps to your phone because fashion can be found everywhere. When you look at the Eiffel Tower some might see a huge tower but others might be inspired to create an A-line dress. For people that love to hunt, your camo outfits didn’t just come out of thin air. The person that created camo got their inspiration from the forest. The colors people use to paint, color, an draw with was inspired my nature. If you ever feel lost and you feel like you lost your muse or need help finding a new color to add to your wardrobe why not step outside. What looks one way to some may look completely different to you.

Put Yourself on a Card

When you’re writing a cover letter you’re basically selling yourself on one page but let me give you a challenge can you sell yourself on a 3.5 x 2 inch card? The card I’m talking about is a business card. Something so small but very important when you’re trying to reach and gain more clientele for your business.

What information should be a basic business card:

  • Individual Name or Business Name
  • Title
  • Contact Information

There are hundreds and thousands of business cards out in the world but what will but your card over the edge. Will your card get lost on people’s desks? That’s where your creative juices need to start flowing.

Great ways to make your business card standout:

  • Colors
  • Font
  • Layout
  • Quotes
  • Image

Figure out the people you are trying to attract. What will get their attention? Are your attracting men? Try using bold and masculine colors and fonts. Are you attracting woman? Use curvy fonts and pastel colors. If your clientele is both men and women try using colors and fonts both sexes will like.

The layout of a business card is important just like the font and color. How do you want to get your clientele’s attention? What do you want to be known for? Your name is more important than your phone number so you wouldn’t want to make your number stand out more than your name.

For the quotes and the image that’s adding your own personal touch to the card. The image is the symbol to your business or your face. A simple quotes tells the person what your business is about. At the same time you don’t want your business card to be so busy a person wouldn’t want to take the time to read the card.

Great ways to get your business cards created and printed are:

  • Vistaprint
  • Zazzle
  • FedEx
  • Check out local printing professional services in your area

I hope this article was helpful and informative.

Colors Mean Everything

Colors Mean Everything

Have you ever wanted to brighten up someones day? Show people you are excited? Tell people you just wanted to be left alone? Well your clothes can tell people everything. The chart I’ve posted gives you some meanings of a few basic known colors. It’s a great reference for your next business meeting, important interview or hot date with that special someone.

I love wearing bright colors on a rainy day because it’s not only going brighten up my day but others as well because it’s more to a day besides rain. By me loving fashion I love wearing colors and patterns. I don’t mind others knowing my personality before they speak to me. First impressions does matter and certain colors can show confidence like the color red but you shouldn’t wear red at an interview because you might come off strong and a little dangerous.

Haven’t you notice with the presidents elections. Democrats wear blue ties to express trust and to confide in them. Republicans wear red to express their love for their nation. Everyone has a certain image they want to portray even the ones that say they don’t care what people think. For a good reference look up what “emo people” look like. They are wearing a lot of black. They want to be a part of their own world get away from the norm. The dark colors they choose to wear expresses who they are. The color black is very noticeable even for those that don’t want to be scene. We notice men wearing black suits, women in their little black dress, and a funeral where most people wear black.

Before you decided to step out your house or go shopping think about the message you are trying to get across and does your actions match your clothing choices.
