#OOTD & DIY A Scarf Into A Shirt

Just the other day I went a little over board when I went shoe shopping and bought three pairs of shoes. I have a serious shoe problem! Today I put together an outfit that you can create at home. I hate buying new shoes and not having anything to wear with them and I didn’t want to go out and buy more clothes so I decided to use what I already own which is a scarf. Yes I said it a scarf! I made a little clip for you showing you how I created this shirt in minutes.

(Tip: to make sure the shirt stays in place put double sided tape on the areas you don’t want to show. Around the neck clip in safety pins.)

If you want to recreate this same look here are the places you buy the rest of my outfit.

#ootdMonday: DIY

I have something special for you all today. This ootd is a do it yourself project and anyone can do it! This pink top came from a Forever 21 romper I had. I cut the romper in half because it was way too short for my long legs. I didn’t want to just throw my romper away so I continue to use it as a shirt.

For my bottoms I purchase them at a local thrift store. It’s that old school thick denim. I picked an oversize pair of shorts because I wanted to wear them high waisted. I didn’t like the length of the shorts originally so cuffed and hemmed the shorts. After I did that I thought the shorts looked a little plain. I decided to go to Hobby Lobby ( I love that place. Much better than Michaels.) and purchased middle size metal studs to go on the back pocket. Above you see the final results.

I hope you like this weeks #ootdMonday. Check out my blog later in the week for new posts.
