#favFriday: Clinique

My sister introduced me to Clinique when I was in high school and I’ve been loving it ever since. I’m not going to lie to you I’ve tried other products because Clinique can get a little expensive but then I realize I want to take of my skin so I need to stop shopping around for cheaper products. The other products never worked for me so I was just wasting money.

Below I’ve listed my Clinique collection.

  1. Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer $47
  2. Face Bar Soap $14
  3. Exfoliating Scrub $20
  4. Even Better Skin Tone Correction Lotion with SPF 20 (mini kit) $15
  5. Even Better Dark Spot Correction Hand Cream with SPF 15 (mini kit) $15
  6.  Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion plus Èmulsion Hydration $26
  7. Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser Mousse $20
  8. Lash Building Primer/Lash Doubling Mascara $15 and $16.50. Clinique no longer sells the combo together it’s sold separately.

All together everything comes to $173.50 but it’s worth it. When you first purchase Cliqinue skin care you can get the 3 step which Cliqinue normally have a deal going on but when you start running out of products and you have to start purchasing them individually it will add up.

Once you start using some of these products you’ll start thinking why in the world didn’t I use this sooner. For me a moisturizer save my skin. My skin feels really soft and healthy. My favorite product is number 4 on my list. This dark spot corrector works FAST!!!! My skin is really sensative so I get a lot of acne scars so when I purchased a sample in a kit with this corrector inside a few months back I fell in love. You only need a dot. Anyway I can go on and on about all these products. If you haven’t tried Clinique I hope you’ll try it out now.

Now I’ll like to know what’s your favorite skin care line. If you don’t have favorite are you willing to give Clinique a try? Comment below.

#favFriday: Organic Coconut Oil

I’ve been using this product for a few months now and I absolutely love it! The reason why I wanted to try organic coconut oil because my hair is natural (which means I stop using chemicals to alter my hair from being chemically straight.) and I really don’t want to use any harsh chemicals in my hair. I use to use Softee Coconut Oil from Sally’s and I thought that was fine until I checked the ingredients so I looked for other options.

Where would you find Organic Coconut Oil? The baking aisle in the grocery store of course! I purchased mind from Aldi for $4.99. One jar of the organic coconut oil fills 4 1/2 jars of the softee coconut oil!

Other than using organic coconut oil for your hair here are some other uses for the product:

  • Lotion (which I love because you do have to reapply during the day)
  • Eye makeup remover
  • Lip balm
  • Replacement for vegetable oil
  • Coffee flavoring
  • Natural bug spray
  • Massage oil
  • Remove ear wax
  • Reduce blemishes (I need that)
  • Eczema soother

Those are just a few check out Dr.Oz for 89 more uses for coconut oil. My softee coconut couldn’t be used for all of that! I checked out that link and I was shocked to see how many ways I can use this one product. $4.99 well spent!

So have you ever used organic coconut oil before? If so what did you use the product for? Leave your answers in the comment section below.

I hope you like this week’s #favFriday. Keep a look out for new posts weekly. Follow if you haven’t already!

#favFriday: Everyday Makeup

When it comes to my everyday makeup routine I like to look as natural as possible so if you want to know how I get my look continue reading.

I’ve listed my favorite makeup products to complete my everyday makeup routine below. I’ve listed the makeup in the order I apply them.

1. Eyebrows

I can’t leave my house without my eyebrows looking good. I’ve tried brow kits and brow pencils but the color is either too light or too dark. So I started using an eyeliner pencil and I haven’t put it down yet.

  • Where to purchase: Ulta

2. Concealer

Before this product I would buy Smashbox concealer but I thought $20 was way too much for a concealer stick. I came across this shade and it works just as good and it last longer. I use concealer to shape and smooth my eyebrows out. I also apply it before I put on my foundation to hide blemishes and highlight under my eyes after I put on my foundation.

  • Where to purchase: Walmart

3. BB Cream

Before using BB cream I didn’t know what it was until I started watching different YouTube channels. One day I was in the makeup aisle and decided to try it out. I love how light weight it felt on my face. Before using this I would use MAC liquid foundation. Between the two I wouldn’t go back to MAC. BB cream makes my skin look more even and I love the cheaper price.

  • Where to purchase: Walmart

4. Press Power

After applying my BB cream I apply my press powder to blend and lighten my face back to the original color. The BB cream and the powder combine creates my exact skin color.

  • Where to purchase: Walmart

5. Eyelashes

One thing I wish I have is longer eyelashes and thanks to this mascara it makes me look like I have some.

  • Where to purchase: Walmart

Here are some pros and cons for using my makeup.

Pros:

  • Great price
  • Easy to apply
  • Great for women of color

Cons:

  • Not available in all Walmarts
  • Small selection in stores
  • The color names isn’t the same with all the products so it’s a little confusing on deciding which color is right for you.

I hope you enjoyed reading my favorite makeup products for my makeup routine. You can also visit Ulta website and Black Radiance website to purchase these items as well.

#favFridays: Heels

Would you agree with this statement? “Shoes are a girl’s best friend.” Well it is for me. Growing up I was such a tomboy I would hate it when my sister would put makeup on me and my mom would make me wear dresses. Since then I’ve clearly changed and all I want are cute girly shoes, heels to be exact.

Below I picked my Top 4 favorite heels I own.

Every girl needs a basic black pump. It goes with mostly everything and a 3 1/2 inch heel is also great to wear to interviews. You can find a shoe like this almost anywhere but I purchased mine from Shoe Show for under $20.

This next black shoe is my go to “going out” shoe.  When I know I’ll be on my feet for hours I usually wear these. The heel is 4 inches and because the heel is a little thicker I can wear them longer. I purchased this shoe at Rack Room shoes I think. The brand is Madden Girl and they were under $50.

These tan/skin tone shoes have become my favorite spring heel.  This shoe goes great with neutral colors and a lot of prints you are currently seeing now. I recently wore these in one of my #ootd post with the high and low skirt I made from the thrift store. This heel is 4 1/2 inches. I purchased this shoe from my favorite site AMI Clubwear. I love this site for their sales. I paid $10 for this pair.

My last favorite shoe is my chucky black and taupe heel.   Some may not like this shoe but I fell in love with this 5 1/2 inch heel. I think this shoe is so sexy. The sole of the shoe is so soft. I’m not going to lie at first it was hard for me to find clothes that worked well with this edgy shoe but I found items and out the door I go with these on. The brand is Qupid. I also purchased these from AMI Clubwear and for $10 too! I just love a good deal.

So those are my top 4 favorites for #favFriday this week. I hope you like them. Check back next Friday to see what other favorites I will share.

Also I like to know what are your favorite heels and where did you purchase them? Comment below.
