TommyXZendaya 70s & 80s Inspired Capsule Collection

Hey Aspirers,

Did you all get the chance to watch Zendaya introduced her Tommy Hilfiger collaboration during Paris Fashion Week last night and she shut it DOWN! So many amazing pieces and guess what it’s also available in CURVY SIZES!

Zendaya’s RTW (Ready To Wear) collection features accessories, shoes, handbags, t-shirts, denim, blouses, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, blazers, swimwear, and underwear. So much to choose from. A range of sizes to choose from. The prices range from $25.50 to $1,295.

There are a couple of things I’m disappointed in with this collection.  The shoe sizes go only goes up to 9.5. With such a variety of clothes sizes, I would expect a variety of shoe sizes as well. There are so many women I know that their shoe sizes are 10 and up. I have weird feet because I range from 8.5 to 10.  One big thing the collection is lacking in different lengths in pants. I saw Tyra Banks on Instagram all googly-eyed over this collection and she definitely needs longer than a 32-inch inseam especially for those wider pant trousers. I’m hoping more shoe sizes and pant length options will be available soon.

Overall, this is a great looking collection and I want to buy so many of her pieces especially the High Neck Lurex Bodysuit that Grace Jones wore when she graced her presence on the runway. Grace Jones started her career in the 70s and has actress, model, and singer she made a way for herself. At 70 years old, yes I said it 70 years old she rocked it on stage last night and stole the show.

Let’s Be Friends!

Are you all ready for what’s happening in September! Fashion week is the best time of the year to catch upcoming trends for the upcoming year, seeing world renown designers but it’s also great for YOU! Everyone in the world are not A-listers, royal, millionaires, or inheritors. A lot of us live our lives working paycheck to paycheck and we would still like to look great everyday or once in a while. Watching fashion weeks or attending fashion shows can get your juices flowing on how to be fashionable without spending your rent money on a purse or a pair of shoes.

How can fashion week be useful to you? Well look at the color trends, patterns coming down the runways, the silhouettes of the outfits, and don’t forget to look at the accessories!!! After major fashion shows a lot of fast fashion retailers create similar looks from the runway such as Forever 21, H&M, Zara, Topshop, and much more. You’ll be able to find a similar outfit at a fraction of the original price.

Here are the dates for Fashion week:

  • New York: September 4-11th
  • London: September 12-16th
  • Milan: Women September 17-23rd. Sorry Men’s wear has already passed
  • Paris: Ready To Wear September 23-October 1st

If you are unable to watch the shows live definitely check out social media sites. Twitter is a great way to find out in real time what your favorite celebrities love. Social Publishing Platforms like Wetpaint and Gossip sites like These two sites are quick about posting whats hot FAST and I mean F-A-S-T! Check out your local news stands for the newest magazine debuting the new trends.

Another great way to stay involved with trends are local fashion weeks. Cities are popping up every year creating their version of fashion week. Local designers and local stores showing off their fashion styles and trends. It’s a great way to stay involved.

Sincerely, Courtney Renee
